赵明纯博士,中南大学材料科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师、升华学者特聘教授,钻具材料与工艺研究所所长、耐磨材料设计及制备研究中心主任。
从1996年开始从事金属材料的研究和开发工作;曾经在长沙矿山研究院(1996.7-1998.8),中国科学院金属研究所(1998.9-2004.3),日本国立物质结构材料研究所(NIMS)(2004.4-2006.6),澳大利亚昆士兰大学(2006.7-2009.1),瑞士联邦材料测试与开发研究所(EMPA)(2007.9-2008.4)等世界材料科学及材料加工领域的顶尖大学和研究所从事科学研究工作。现在中南大学主要从事“高性能矿山机械耐磨材料的热处理工艺与技术”、“新一代钢铁材料的制备工艺与强韧化机理”、“超细晶粒钢的组织调控”、“超细晶粒钢在矿山机械耐磨材料领域产业化应用的关键工艺与技术”等研究方向,与中国科学院金属研究所、日本国立物质结构材料研究所和澳大利亚昆士兰大学等国内外著名科研院所进行紧密的科研合作,并就硕士生、博士生进行联合培养。


在学术理论和技术研发方面享有盛誉:
1. 近年来以第一作者发表的国际英文SCI权威或重要期刊近50篇,总共发表论文近100篇。
2. 近年来以第一作者发表的论文被SCI引用次数高达数千次,其中多篇论文进入近年来所在领域ESI高引用论文行列,第一作者的H-index上20,为所在领域高H-index的科研工作者之一。
3. 近年来以第一作者发表的论文(截至2015年12月)单篇ESI引用次数上百次的有5篇,单篇ESI引用次数上五十次的有近十篇,为所在领域最受关注和引用的科研工作者之一。
4. 在多个国内国际材料研究领域的机构和期刊有学术兼职。

具有自主知识产权的新技术,通过自主创新,研发出具有优良性能的强韧耐磨高、中、低风压系列潜孔冲击器及钻头和风动液压凿岩机配套用钻头、钎尾及套管系列等新一代钻具产品。
