5月17日,中国科学院院士、著名有机化学家赵玉芬教授应邀来武夷学院,作《磷与生命起源》专题学术报告。校党委肖铮书记主持报告会,并与生态与资源工程学院师生一起聆听了赵院士的报告。

报告会上,赵院士以生命起源为开题,详细介绍了磷在生命中的重要作用,磷化学在生命科学以及在化学合成中的研究进展,以及在磷化学方向的大量研究成果。深入浅出地阐述了磷和生命起源的内在关系,并以生动的故事分享了她的实验探索和科研经历。报告会结束后,赵院士还与师生进行了互动交流。

赵玉芬院士是我国著名有机化学家、生命科学界的权威之一,创建了“磷酰化氨基酸是蛋白质和核酸的共同起源”的新的理论体系,这一解释生命起源的新成果已经被世界生命化学界广为引用,推动了世界磷化学和生命化学的进步。

赵玉芬院士十分关心我校的发展,多次莅临学校指导工作,并在我校竹材工程中心设立院士工作站,带领团队推进竹纤维复合材料和生物营养源等系列项目的开发,致力于服务竹生态产业绿色发展,极大地提升了我校科技创新水平和服务产业能力。
