研究方向  纳米结构合成与机理:纳米颗粒在胶体溶液里的组装;聚合物和纳米颗粒的共组装;双面纳米颗粒的合成;手性纳米结构的形成及机制;纳米圈的合成及其主动的构型转变;核壳及空心结构的合成。  
纳米材料应用:表面等离子共振或荧光传感,药物释放,复合材料,数据存储磁性材料。
学术成绩  
陈虹宇教授研究小组围绕纳米结构的设计与构建,尤其是胶体溶液中复合纳米粒子的合成与组装开展了一系列深入的探索与研究工作,在国际上具有领先地位。在独立工作的9年里,以通讯作者在NatureCommunications, JournaloftheAmericanChemicalSociety, AngewandteChemie-InternationalEdition, ChemicalSocietyReviews, AccountsofChemicalSociety, AdvancedMaterials等国际期刊上发表SCI论文发表30多篇,总引用数4600多次,H指数38。  
在教学上,陈教授注重素质教育。他的第一个博士生,陈涛,现在是中国科学技术大学的青年##正教授。他的研究组训练的博士生和博士后中,共有9位在国内各大学任教。

报告内容:
近年来纳米领域的发展主要侧重于应用研究,在合成能力上的进步却相对较少。如果以想象中的纳米科技作为标准,比如纳米机器人,那么现在我们的合成能力还是远远不足的,纳米领域的长期健康发展需要合成方向上的持续进步。本次报告的前言部分将讲述我对纳米合成前沿的理解,希望能定义在基础原理、操控能力、纳米形貌、协同效应等不同层面上的前沿需求和意义,并在此脉络上概括我独立工作12年以来的主要成果。在第二部分,我将以Janus纳米颗粒的合成为例,讲述其背后的复杂机理,尤其是要理解从全包覆到半包覆的选择性,表面能实施控制力的根源,使无意识的原子进行有序组装的“上帝之手”。


专家简介:
1998年本科毕业于中国科学技术大学;2004年于美国耶鲁大学获得博士学位,2005年起在美国康奈尔大学从事博士后研究。2006年加入新加坡南洋理工大学任助理教授;2011年升为终身教职副教授;历任化学系副主任、数理学院副院长、理学部副主任。2016年加入南京工业大学担任教授,共同组建了先进化学制造研究院,任执行院长。主要研究方向为复合纳米合成与机理,及延伸的各种应用。致力于拓展新方法,合成新型纳米结构,研究其形成机理,发展非晶面控制的新型合成手段,使纳米合成从传统领域转向多组分、复合结构、组装结构、新型晶格、低对称性及手性结构等新方向。在知名化学期刊上发表论文90余篇,其中以通讯作者发表的J. Am. Chem. Soc.及Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.有20余篇。陈虹宇教授所培养的学生、博士后中,现有14人任教授/副教授,包括1名美国的助理教授和两名青年##。
